Here's how I stopped myself from being afraid of failure: instead of seeing failing as a dead end, see it as a pathway to progress.

Example: If it works, you made it. If you fail, learn from it and do it better. You can get closer to success by eliminating choices, and failure helps you to discover what's not working so that you can focus on the next best steps. Especially, if you learn from your failures.

Managing the Risk

I would never begin a project without having a backup or a way to get out of it if it doesn't work. Eliminate or reduce risk. Now, that helps, but even in the worst-case scenario where I cannot come back from it, I always see every single experience in my life as a learning experience, whether it's a success or a failure.

Moving Forward

If you are learning from it, you will get better, so don't take failures personally. Take it professionally. This simple mindset has helped me to take risks and progress in my life and business without being afraid of the outcome.

Keep getting better.
